Chapter 6 - A New DawnSix months later, the glass-and-steel lobby of Osei-Vance Technologies hummed with vibrant, renewed energy. The company had not only survived the transition of power; it was thriving under new leadership. Cutting-edge patents, ethical corporate governance, and a revitalized culture had turned the firm into an industry titan.

I stood on the forty-fourth floor, looking out the very same floor-to-ceiling windows where Silas had once stood in arrogant tyranny. Now, the view wasn't just about corporate dominance; it was about creation, resilience, and reclaiming my own destiny.

In my arms, six-month-old Maya cooed happily, her tiny fingers clutching playfully at the silver pendant around my neck—a small, delicate raven emblem my father had given me, a quiet reminder of the fierce, unyielding protection that watched over us.

The private elevator chime rang softly.

The doors slid open, and Marcus stepped out, wearing a simple, comfortable sweater instead of his usual dark suit. He walked across the polished floor, stopping right beside me to look out at the sprawling skyline.

"The quarterly board meeting starts in ten minutes, CEO Osei," my father teased gently, a warm glint in his eyes.

"Let them wait," I smiled, adjusting Maya in my arms. "I have more important priorities right now."

Marcus chuckled, reaching out to tickle his granddaughter’s tiny chin. "Well, your grandfather's security detail is waiting downstairs with your favorite pastry. Shall we go show the city how an Osei runs things?"

"Always, Dad," I said, turning away from the window and walking forward into the bright, unclouded future.

The nightmare was over. The shadows were gone. And we were finally walking in the light.
