Chapter 6 - A New DawnSix months later, the Manhattan skyline boasted a brand-new architectural marvel. Rising seventy stories of shimmering glass, sustainable titanium, and visionary design, the Moretti Tower stood as the crown jewel of the city's financial district.

Inside her expansive corner office on the top floor, Emma Moretti stood before the floor-to-ceiling windows, watching the sun paint the morning clouds in brilliant shades of gold and amber. The architectural blueprints of three international projects lay neatly on her desk, and the hum of a thriving, independent empire filled the air around her.

The private elevator chimed softly.

Vincent Moretti stepped into the office, holding a single bottle of vintage champagne. He walked over to her side, looking out at the sprawling city below them.

"They're naming you Developer of the Year at the gala tonight," Vincent noted quietly, a hint of deep pride softening his weathered features.

Emma smiled, taking the champagne flute her father handed her. "It's about time, don't you think?"

"Your mother would have been terrified of you," Vincent joked softly.

"No," Emma replied, clinking her glass against his with a clear, resonant ring. "She would have been proud. Because unlike her, I didn't just escape the cage—I bought the building."

They stood together in comfortable silence as the morning sun broke fully over the horizon, casting a warm, golden light across the city, illuminating a future built entirely on her own terms.
